What is FCSS Student Hive Orientation Week (SHOW)

Student Hive Orientation Week or (SHOW) for short is a week of fun activities that show you campus, show you the city, show you how to get involved, show you entertainment, and show you great spirit in the student hive!

 

FCSS Student Hive Orientation Week is designed for our first year student members in the following FCS Programs.

  1. Child and Youth Care

  2. Early Childhood Studies

  3. Midwifery Education

  4. Nursing

  5. Nutrition and Food

  6. Occupational and Public Health 

  7. Social Work

  8. Urban and Regional Planning 

Our Student Hive Orientation Week will be your most nostalgic and memorable opportunity of your university career!

Faculty of Community Services Society (FCSS) Student Hive Orientation Week is an important exclusive event designed by democratically elected Community Services students on your FCSS, and the Orientation, and Spirit Committee (FCSS OSC) for all incoming Community Services students coming onto campus for the first time in year one.

Academic Orientation and SHOW

All the Academic Orientations are happening on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, in the morning with a smooth transition into FCSS SHOW in the afternoon. This ensures you get the same experience and equitable opportunities for social connections as everyone else in the many Faculty of Community Services schools. ​
