Queen Belinda Bee

'Honey Bees'

Mascots are a massive tradition among many Professional Health and City Building faculties across Canada. When we graduate and become professional urban health professionals, policymakers, planners, changemakers, healthcare specialists, teachers, lawyers, and doctors, we often are the ones keeping the backbones of society afloat and working just like Honey Bee colonies in a hive.

We're located in the most significant working hive in Canada, downtown Toronto, and our collective professions are keystones to the development of building better and more just communities.

Process of name selection:

Undergraduate students in Community Services came up and submitted with a wide selection of names (over 100+). The Special Projects committee narrowed the names down to 10 where Community Services students voted on the final name Queen Belinda Bee.

What does Belinda Mean?

Belinda in Italian means Beautiful.

Belinda Bee means Beautiful Bee.

Our Queen Bee uses (She/They) pronouns.
